Floating Systems

TVA's partner is the world's leader in floating Aqua Screen systems and so far the only company to have designed floating projection booths (containing the projection equipment), combined with floating Aqua Screen vehicles for permanent installation.

It is the only company so far to have designed an attraction that operates in a tidal, salt water environment

Project Manager, Alan Chambers (1.8m tall) volunteered to show scale by standing on the LVA Aqua Screen vehicle during it’s commissioning at Six Flags Great Adventure at Jackson New Jersey.

The screen reaches 30m in height and 60m in width.

Above right: the tidal salt water conditions in Sydney Harbour required a very different approach – a Laservision floating Aqua Screen vehicle is being launched.

Fixed and Partially Fixed Systems

It is often the case that Aqua Screen shows are performed at venues where man made lakes or pools have been created. In these situations, it is often possible to fix the Aqua Screen equipment permanently attached to the base of the pool (where the water level is constant). It is often also possible to position the projection equipment on dry land, in a building or enclosure designed for that purpose.

Projection Booths

The projection booths are provided with positively pressurised climate control filters to remove salt and other corrosive elements to protect the equipment and ensure a long service life. This is particularly important in salt water or near salt-water environments.

TVA's partner has devised a unique active mooring system which allows the floating booth to rise and fall with the tide during the course of the day but be locked down in position at show time. The mooring system also is designed to resist significant wave motion.

More Than One Screen

It is not uncommon to use more than one screen and more than one set of projection equipment at a large venue. The same information is projected simultaneously onto both screens, obtaining a large viewing angle to cater for large audiences.

The use of more than one screen simultaneously projecting different information, which comprises one story offers fascinating possibilities, and even larger imagery is possible.

Left:Three Aqua Screens combined produce one massive image.

Right: A battle of Good against Evil is played out with two Aqua Screens side by side. The individual characters can both appear at maximum size, which would not have been possible with one screen
